Potty Protector™
Within the elderly population there is a subset of patients who suffer from incontinence as well as dementia onset.
Incontinence involves the use of adult diapers or pads. Dementia causes confusion and often leads to the flushing of these diapers/pads down the toilet, causing robust clogs. These clogs require expensive, disruptive and time-consuming plumbing services to extract the pad from the drainpipe.
Wipes are also problematic in toilet systems and are often used (and flushed) in care facilities.
Our drain catch solution prevents these clogs in a simple, cost-effective manner, preventing costly plumbing services and disruptions, while allowing flushable items to pass through the screening mechanism.
Potty Protector™ is easy to install, with no equipment or expert skill required.
The form-fitting device works in a broad range of toilets.
It captures wipes, diapers, and sanitary pads to help prevent expensive clogs.
It doesn’t disrupt water flow or impede flushing even in low water-usage toilets.
How it works
When installed correctly, micro hooks on the inside of the Potty Protector™ snag on fabric materials, such as wipes and sanitary pads. When an item is snagged, use a tool or (gloved) hand to retrieve the item.
Flushable materials flow easily past the Potty Protector™.
The Potty Protector™ has been tested by an independent lab confirming that it does not disrupt the flush of high efficiency toilets.
Fabric materials will snag on the micro hooks so they can be retrieved before going deeper into the plumbing.

Installation & Use
Tools needed: None. Plastic gloves may be desired; installation requires reaching into the toilet bowl.
1. Lift toilet lid and seat.
2. Hold Potty Protector™ with Top Hook facing up and away from you.
3. Press the Potty Protector™ into position in the drain, until the Top Hook rests securely against the top of the drain. The Potty Protector™ will curve into the shape of the drain to secure itself in position.
The Potty Protector™ is very discreet; when properly installed only the Top Hook will be visible. The rest of the Potty Protector™ will be tucked into the drain of the toilet.
